v10.1 Preview 2 is ready!

If the newer nvidia drivers do not cause too many problems with the new 2D clouds, I'll release this as the official SEUS v10.1 version

Just as a reminder, this is to be used with the latest version of the GLSL Shaders Mod for Minecraft 1.7.2 that you can find here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/154 ... -karyonix/ With the WIP 1.7.5 version, I cannot guarantee proper results.

Some notable changes:

-Puddles form when it rains, and it takes a few minutes to dry up after raining

-New procedural 2D clouds rendered directly in the sky and in reflections (transcending screen-space)

-2D cloud shadows. When clouds are covering the sun, direct sunlight dims

-Torchlight color is much more mellow and white-balanced

-New water surface rendering. No POM for now, but still looks much better than before

-Better specular highlights from sunlight when a texture pack with specular maps is used

-"smooth lighting" reverted back to old rendering mode. The native ambient occlusion due to smooth lighting should be more noticeable now

-Tonemapping adjustments

-Overall less harsh lighting outdoors

Please post here and let me know how everything is working for you guys. If you have bugs to report, post them here along with screenshots, what graphics card you're using, and use http://pastebin.com/ to post your log after loading a world and these shaders (go download Magic Launcher to enable the log).

Here's some of my screenshots!

I just want to say that you have done an excellent job here. Seriously I've seen visuals that I consider to be great but this is amazing, even better. I want to increase my knowledge in advanced shading. I know GLSL and HLSL , the basic post process of bloom tonemaps etc. but I have been more of an artist and less of a programmer. I would like to acquire more knowledge about shaders and the more advanced things I see you do with your shaders and what not. For a first more direct question, as I might pop in and out to ask question from time to time, is what sources have you used to learn ray marching from? Especially your 3D clouds! They are very good when tweaked just right. :) Once again I just want to say thank you for the amazing work here.

Sugarcanes show clouds when it's raining. Probably from the reflection thing. Leaves also have pixelated reflections of torch lighting.

Also, great job on this. Really love the clouds, love that you brought back block gloss, love the new puddle thing.

I have the same problem, im almost totally sure its because of the new nvidia shaders. i have a i7 2.4Ghz processor, 4GB of ram alocated to mc alone, and an nvidia geforce gt 750m graphics card. ive seen people have this problem before, but no fixes yet. Sonic Plz Help. tbh, these shaders are like 55% of why i bought this gaming computer :'(

Well, I think there is a tiny little bug which I don't need a screenshot, my specs or a full bugreport on pastebin for..
In gbuffers_weather.fsh there is a lonely little "f" in line 21 causing an error message to be displayed on each load.
It works perfectly fine if you remove the f. ^^

Edit: Btw, I'm on 1.7.5 with Shadermod version 2.4.0 and everything works perfectly fine and smooth. If there are issues, it's NOT an incompatibility with the shader mod.

I get an error - Invalid program gbuffers_weather.
Despite this, it works fine, except with the shadows flickering.

Look at the post above yours ;) Also I can stop the shadows flickering by turning Advanced OpenGL off in the menu. Cost more frames though. Not sure what it exactly does.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that post.
And turning Advanced OpenGL fixed the issue :D
Thanks
